Avril Lavigne, Chlöe Bailey, Latto, And More To Present The 2022 VMAs

They will dole out the Moon Person trophies alongside other faves like Becky G, Billy Eichner, and Dove Cameron

The 2022 VMAs are inching closer every single day with a stacked lineup of performers and emcees set to take the stage. And the night just got even bigger: On Friday (August 26), a massive list of presenters was announced to appear throughout the big night to dole out the coveted Moon Person trophies. They include Ashley Graham, Avril Lavigne, Bebe Rexha, Becky G, Billy Eichner, comedy duo Cheech and Chong, Chlöe Bailey, Dixie D’Amelio, DJ Khaled, Dove Cameron, Joel Madden, Latto, Lili Reinhart, and Offset.

In addition to her presenting duties, Dove Cameron will debut her first VMA performance during the Pre-Show leading to the big night. The Pre-Show has been known to catapult artists even further into the spotlight, with alumni including this year’s main-show performers Nicki Minaj and Jack Harlow. Cameron also racked up her first nomination for Best New Artist alongside “Big Energy” rapper Latto. Who will take home the Moon Person for the category? We’ll find out on Sunday.

Avril Lavigne previously presented the award for the Video for Good category during the 2021 ceremony, while Bebe Rexha last appeared the preceding year, when she handed out the trophy for Video of the Year. DJ Khaled last presented in 2019 to introduce rappers Big Sean and ASAP Ferg to the audience. Get ready to see new faces and seasoned pros take over the VMAs in a couple of nights!

It was also announced on Friday that an Extended Play Stage will also feature appearances from Conan Gray, Flo Milli, JID, and Lauren Spencer Smith. This year’s show will return to New Jersey’s Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. The ceremony previously hit the Garden State in 2019, hosted by Sebastian Maniscalco; last year’s show aired from Brooklyn’s Barclays Center. Find more info at vma.mtv.com.
