Do You Remember When 'Halloweentown''s Luke Had His Own Nickelodeon Show?

He wasn't a goblin on it, though

In between Halloweentown and Halloweentown II: Kalabar's Revenge, Phillip Van Dyke starred on the short-lived Nickelodeon series Noah Knows Best.

Instead of playing a goblin, Van Dyke was Noah Beznick, a prep school teen who lived in New York with his parents and sister Megan (Rachel Roth), who had a penchant for getting into and out of trouble. The show was like the male version of Clarissa Explains It All and was canceled after eight episodes, with five left unaired.

The main reason the show was axed prematurely had to do with creative differences. Series creator Ken Lipman said in an interview for Nickelodeon Studios: Past, Present, and Future, "[Nickelodeon's] view of what the show should be and my vision of the show were not the same and they never really matched up, which was ultimately a reason for its lack of success."

Nevertheless, the series did land some great guest stars, namely, Hanson. The boy band played themselves and were invited to chillax with Noah and Megan at their parents's apartment, but ended up getting roped into doing household chores.

So while the show was short-lived, we'll always have that time the cast faced off against the stars of Taina on Double Dare 2000 and turned each other into jelly rolls. Never forget.
